Asking for help.

I have given a dose of Spiriva 18ug at 2000 hrs by mistake. The pt already had it at 0800 hrs that day. Of course he will be due the next day also. Would my extra dose be harmful to him? His existing condition - S.O.B, COPD, Tachycardic but was managed with meds to 85b/m. CA lungs.

Thanks

One extra dose probably isn't going to hurt him, but of course you need to notify the physician and fill out an incident/event report.

Whether or not it will hurt the patient, this is something to be discussed, in person, with the physician in charge of that patient's care. This is NOT something to be discussed on an internet forum with random strangers (who may or may not be actual physicians/nurses/pharmacists).
