Has anyone heard anything back from them at all? I submitted my OTCAS application in early December (along with all of my supplemental materials) and never heard a word from them. Kind of irritating since it was the only OTCAS school I ended up applying to so it cost me $125 alone. Luckily I got into my first-choice school (TWU! 🙂 ) but was just wondering what their deal was...

Hi,

That stinks that you never heard back from them-they were pretty good about getting back to me about things, especially when I had questions before application. I submitted my info in November and got contacted in January for an interview in February and will be going there in the fall. Congrats on getting into TWU🙂

I find it really strange that they did not contact you at all. They were really great about informing me that they received all of my information and contacting me for an interview. I will also be attending St. Ambrose in the Fall. At least you were accepted at TWU, CONGRATS!

Hi all! I just recently had an interview at St. Ambrose and feel as though it went really well. Ambrose is probably my first choice of the schools I applied to, so I was wondering if you guys minded sharing your stats since you were accepted last year. And how do you like the program now that you are in it??

I recently had an interview at St. Ambrose as well! Have you heard back from them at all?

No, I think we all hear back around the same time at the end of March? Not knowing is driving me crazy! Haha

I hate waiting! haha St. Ambrose is my first choice, and I have offers from other schools and don't want to waste money putting deposits down so I hope we hear back soon!

The whole process is so stressful! But yeah I asked on the interview when we should hear back and they said middle-late March hopefully. Where else did you apply?

Along with St. Ambrose I applied to: UW-Madison, UIC, Midwestern IL, Rush, and WashU St. Louis. I would love to go to St. Ambrose! Where else did you apply?

Hi, I am a first year MOT student at St. Ambrose, and below are my stats. However, interview is weighted heavily at St. Ambrose. The break-down for ranking is 20% by overall GPA, 40% pre-req GPA, and 40% interview. I believe that my interview went very well, and that is how I got into the program. I know of someone who had close to a 4.0 GPA for overall and pre-req who did not get into the program since their interview did not go well. I really love the program and the staff at SAU. Good luck to everyone!

Undergraduate University: Canadian University
Major: Psychology
Overall GPA: 3.4
Pre-req GPA: 3.8

Observation Hours: Almost 30 in a hospital setting, 25 at a hand therapy clinic, close to 200 in pediatric outpatient setting

Jobs: Work as a special education associate and a rehab tech

Applied: Midwestern IL and AZ, A.T. Still, St. Ambrose, St. Catherine's, U of Minnesota

Acceptances: St. Ambrose (attending), A.T. Still, U of Minnesota

Waitlisted: St. Catherine's

Rejections: Midwestern IL (never heard back from them)

Interviews: A.T. Still, St. Ambrose, Midwestern AZ (declined)

For people that are applying in the future, working as a special education associate was probably one of the biggest things that helped me. I really enjoy working with my children, and I was able to draw on experiences where I had challenges and success helping my students. I think that this set the foundation that I can be an effective OT.

Thanks for the info, it was really helpful! Do you remember how long after your interview it took to find out you were accepted? Also, I can't find the tuition anywhere, if you could let us know that would be great! 🙂

Wow thank you for your input! It is greatly appreciated. I'm glad to hear you love the program. It seems like a great one which is why I am really hoping to get in. I also applied to Touro University Nevada, ATSU, Midwestern, Concordia, and Chicago State. I inquired about the tuition at Ambrose and it is estimated to be about $29k per year starting next fall.

Did you hear anything from Ambrose? A friend of mine told me they were sending out some acceptance e-mails today? I don't know if that means everyone will hear today or what but I am freaking out haha.

Yeah! I got an email this morning! I don't think everyone will hear today most likely, so keep an eye out for an email 🙂

Well congratulations to you! I got wait-listed so I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

Hey when do they give you until to make a deposit and accept your spot? I am just wondering incase people decline and then maybe (hopefully) I'll hear something.
