Hello everyone, I just have a quick question about the St. Augustine program. If any one knows specifically about this program I could definitely use some help figuring this out!

How does St. Augustine figure the Pre-Req GPA? Do they include all the pre-req's taken or do they take your highest grades and then average them?

Also I saw on here earlier that they look at your pre-req GPA over your overall GPA even though it might be low, is this True??

I emailed them a couple months ago and the woman said that they take your highest grade. Also, with the admissions requirements it says on their website "• A minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 calculated on program prerequisites is preferred; however, the grade trend of the applicant will be considered." It doesn't list say anything about overall grade point average anywhere else.

That explains why I have been hearing about people getting in with the overall GPA of a 2.75-2.9 ! At the same time there Pre-req GPA may range from 3.3-3.6!

This is Great News, Thank You!!

Aim for at least a 3.5 pre-requisite GPA. Most schools take the highest grade. I'll be starting at USA this fall, and my pre-requisite GPA was 3.7, and my overall was 3.7. Try not to let your overall GPA fall below 3.0; it'll hurt your chances.

Sounds pretty realistic since you can take classes over that you may have got a C in and it won't hurt you GPA. What USA program are you attending San Marcus, St. Augustine, or Austin ??

I'll be attending the Florida campus. My overall was 3.7, and so was my pre-req GPA. Just do as well as you can on your GREs and your pre-requisites and hope USA forgives your poor performance in your first two years of school.
