Thanks, sga...i 've also read very good reviews bout Washington univ. in this forum...don't know bout St. louis..when r u going there..i'm going on 19th this month...u have been to a no. of psych. interviews...what type of ques. are usually asked, apart from the general interview q.? do u know anything specific bout the interview at slu? slu is in downtown , i think which isn't such a good area for living at least, but, i'm not sure..thanks v. much, n good luck!

fwiw, as a therapist I work with two psychiatrists who are recent slu residency grads, and they're both great. I've asked about their experiences and they both loved being at slu. there's a lot of opportunity to do gero work, although there is literally no child/adol psych exposure (or at least not at the time they were there). slu overall- not just psych- has the reputation for producing physicians who excel not just at medicine but also are compassionate- great bedside manner if you will.

regarding location, it's technically Midtown. I wouldn't recommend living within walking distance, but there are some great and affordable places to buy or rent within a 10-15 min drive.

wash u is an excellent location. i think it is called park west.

Thank u so much, jlw..i really appreciate ur valuable input...it was very helpful, n it's really v. nice of u..
