Take the clinical coordinator job at the small hospital. Generally at academic centers, there's no movement up for staff pharmacists. Since it's a small community hospital, you will have a chance to do a lot of stuff that would probably require more red tape at bigger hospitals and medical centers. Who knows, do the clinical coordinator at the small hospital for 3-5 years, develop some protocols, start some projects, and then you can go for a clinical coordinator position at an academic medical center.
Or you could stay at the small hospital as the clinical coordinator, learn everything you can from the director and perhaps you can replace the director one day.
