Does anyone stand during restorations or I guess general dentistry type procedures? Just starting in clinic and I'm just wondering if standing might not be better for the back? I'm sure there's a good reason why nobody does I'm just a D2 and have no idea what I'm doing lol.

They told us standing was better for the back but worse for the shoulders and neck. Some of the older generation still stands though.

Would switching between standing and sitting (one week standing one week sitting) help with saving both then?

I do everything standing up (except exams). I feel it is better for the lower back, but the upper back is more strained. However, I feel that I am more efficient standing up for all procedures (restorative, endo, EXT). Perio surgery is incredibly difficult standing up though.
