Stanford Waitlist?

Does anyone out there know if Stanford ranks their waitlist? I don't want to call and bother them is somebody already knows the answer.

They claim that they don't ... at least not before the end of May. According to one of the admissions counselors, at that point, they get together and vote on waitlistees, some of whom they place on the "first alternate" list. First alternates go to the top of the waitlist and if you don't get in this year, you're guaranteed a spot in next years' class (if you want to wait a year!)
