I was wondering if we could pool our knowledge together and come up with a lsit of start dates for medical schools. I'll begin...

Emory: July
Case Western: July
Northwestern: September?
NYU: August
 
I believe Northwestern starts in August (that is what the MSAR says).

Ohio State also starts in August.
 
Boston Universtiy August 13th
 
Speaking of BU, when do the second round decisions go out. All they said was Mid March during my Jan interview.

um. yeah. i was in no way asking this to draw any sort of "attention" to myself. this question was more out of curiosity/clarification.

i think we should do it by orientation date, since that's when many will want to show up.

I for one think this matters. I'm currently trying to determine whether or not I'll be able to go to a friend's wedding overseas and depending on which school I decide to attend that answer changes (July start date - wedding is in July - versus August start date). Clearly other people also think this is interesting or important since they're also posting.

Why is it that almost every thread on SDN lately turns into a *&*% session about whether or not it's a useful thread? If it doesn't pertain to you/you don't give a hairy monkey's butt, then go read somewhere else. 👍 😴

hah. i liked how you 👍'ed yourself. I just thought it was kind of useless since most people are usually choosing between less than a handful of schools. You can vent your frustrations on me though... I really don't mind.

Meharry has a pre-maticulation program that's mandatory and I think it's suppose to be basic sciences or something. It's like a litlle refresher stint for a couple of weeks, I think. One of the meharrians on here can probably explain it a little better. And yes...I made meharrians up.

"We plan to complete our interviews by the end of February, and in late March we will send a letter to each candidate who completed the application process with us this year. In that group of letters we will accept most of the entering class of 2007, invite a few individuals to remain on our waiting list, and inform others that we will be unable to offer an acceptance this year."

This was from the email I got post interview at BU. I know it doesn't really help.
