Starting a plastics elective

Hey guys,

Sorry if this has been answered, but I couldn't find anything on it. I'm a 3rd year doing a plastics elective and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on rocking it? Should I be studying at night or spend more time on technical skills? Which books? etc
