Starting thinking about medicine at the of sophmore year. Need some advice!

I started seriously thinking about medical school during the end of sophmore year. Before that, I was thinking about going into research. I don't have that many EC's right now but by the time I apply (next year), I plan to have:
- a year of hospital volunteering
- shadowing different doctors (like 200 hours total)
- a board member of a medically related club
- co-president of another
the member of a few others

I feel like I'm behind in terms of what all of the other pre-meds have done in terms of EC's. What is your take on this?

Add some research... and I would say you are good.
