whoevers been lurking/ postin here for longer than 1 or 2 past cycles....have you noticed a rise in the average DAT scores this year?....i.e more prevalance of 21's 22's than in the past or am I just freaking out...ya i know snd score inflation and the select few applicants yadda yadda but it also seems like a lot of schools are doing soft cuttoffs at a higher average, at least a this point i in the app cycle. eg, columbia and their 22, maryland looking for above a 20 (even though their averages were lower) and a few other schools on a similar track....

On a side note....
a lot of schools are flooded with apps this yr, a lot have received but not processed them thats what the office/admissions directors are saying, especially if they do paper apps and yours went out in the 'second' round, i.e. mid/late july.....

I think the info gathered on a thread like this will be very skewed. You are asking an opinion of what someone has seen on a forum that is not a very good representation of the applicants.

I know of many people who hate SDN because they don't feel comfortable talking to or hearing from poeple with high stats. So you will find that most people here have high stats, or pretend to have high stats.

I have a couple of interviews and as far as I know, the SDN stats correlates with the rise in stats in general. SND members seem to have always been scoring in the 97 percentile at least so it's not surprising that most of the scores we see these days are in the 20s+. In fact I think that a competitive DAT score is a 20.
HAving scores in the high teens could still make you a "borderline applicant" in which case your other credentials better be damn high.

I've been here a few years.

The number of high DAT scores posted seems to be a little higher.

I think a lot of it has to do with all of the advice that the members of this site have to offer as far as studying for the DAT.

If I didn't know about Studentdoctor.net, I would have taken the DAT with Kaplan Blue Book only because I wouldn't have heard of Achiever and Topscore. Also, I learned about the R.C. roadmap method here.

I'd guess that this site raised my AA score by about 2 points.
