I just became aware that certain states without an optometry school have agreements with specific schools that will lower the tuition for those living in the state if they attend that specific school.

My question is, does Virginia have such a contract?

Look at each school's website. They should have listed if they have contracts with any nearby states.

Those of us from Virginia are out of luck. Although they just reinstated a grant with SCO (It's not really a contract seat) where if you apply for it, they will give you $2000 if you come back to VA for 2 years after graduation, or something like that. It didn't start until I was in my second year and since I've changed my residency to TN I can't apply for it. But anyway, SCO is the only school with money for VA students.

edit: Actually now that I think about it, I don't think it's just for SCO. I think you can apply for the money at any school.
