Statistics in Psychiatry?

Hey guys,
I was wondering if you guys have any recommendations for resources for statistics in Psych (for like boards purposes and such?) I hated Stats for USMLE and liked the DIT videos. I seriously hate reading about cohort studies, odds ratio etc.! For some reason my mind automatically wants to shut off whenever I read that stuff.

Don't be intimidated by statistics. It's really not that hard once you get the basics down. It's also very important for physicians to understand statistics. In today's competitive research arena, investigators do a lot of "massaging" of stats to arrive at some positive conclusion after a study is done so it'll get noticed. Without a basic understanding on statistics, you'd be inclined to believe the results of all published studies (you shouldn't).

If I were you, I'd start with a book called Head First Statistics.
