So it seems like more people on various forums are noting recently that there has been an increase in statistics questions on the Naplex. This is from people taking the tests <month ago. So does anyone have any idea what resources to use to study the statistics portion.

It seems like the APha or Kaplan doesn't help much in this regard.

I am a soon-to-be PhD in statistics. Any questions I can answer.

Get a basic book and study:

1. Chi-squared tests for categorical data (2X2 tables)
2. simple linear / multiple linear regression
3. Z-test, t-test, normal distribution
4. F-test, 1-way, 2-way ANOVA
5. some basic distributions: gamma, normal, poisson, etc.

I am not sure what is on NAPLEX. But post any statistics question here. I will answer.

I heard it was stuff like number needed to treat, number needed to harm, power and whatnot last year.

For the recent test takers: Are the statistics questions complicated or straightforward? Are calculations involved or is it enough to know the definitions of the basics (ie. ARR, RRR, NNT, p-values)?😕
