Hi!
I am currently a senior at a top 10 school studying biomedical engineering. I bombed my first two years of college because I honestly partied too much and just didn't try (like 2.0 GPA bad) and am paying for it down the road. I had a 2.3 GPA one year ago, and with a ton of hard work I got a 4.0 over the past 2 semesters (taking all upper level science and engineering courses) and made dean's list for the first time. I currently have a 2.7, and with this trend I could graduate with a 3.0-3.2 and try to make it into an SMP. My MCAT practice score is a 510 averaged from 7 tests (am taking officially this summer).
I have decided to stay at my school an extra year and prove that I can handle hard coursework - what classes would medical schools like to see? I currently have human genetics, metabolism, prob/stat, chromosomes, etc. Should I retake orgo 1 (C) which I took as a freshman as I know I can get an A/A- if I retook it?
Any advice? Thank you!!
