Hi All,
Still thinking a lot about my list before I submit it and just wanted to see how some other applicants/residents/attendings feel about this. Is staying at your home program a mistake? Is it good/necessary to get out and experience a different system? Anybody out there have any good reasons to stay or leave? Just kinda unsure about how to make this decision...

I don't think it makes a lot of difference between med school and residency. If you have a good project going, I would actually recommend staying. The amount of exposure you got as a medical student should not be enough to justify moving just so that you can be exposed to a different system.

However, between residency and an attending job, I definitely recommend leaving, both for exposure to different ideas/styles and also so that you are not treated like a resident forever.
