Staying In Nyc - Suny Interview

Can anyone recommend a hotel to stay at while in NYC, I have a SUNY interview coming up.

I am from Toronto so I am probably going to have to stay at least one night in NYC. If anyone knows of any affordable hotels close to SUNY or affordable hotels not far from SUNY but easy to get to by subway or something could you share your experience!!

I am calling on Monday to schedule it. Hopefully sometime in November because December is busy with exams!

And my stats are.. OAT AA 360 TS 370 gpa 3.3 .. I'm from a competative Canadian university though and have I heard that some American Optometry schools will add a few points to Canadian GPA's, not sure if SUNY is one of them.

I have an interview at SUNY on Nov 6th. I've found that the hotels in NJ are cheaper. I thought it would be far, but it's actually only 10-15 miles from Manhattan depending on which place you stay at. NY & NJ have multiple transportation systems so there are many options.

go to hotwire.com, it's awesome! i just booked a 4 star hotel in florida (Hyatt) for $100 a night (regular 200+). or try priceline and name your price, they'll most likely take your offer.

I went for my interview at SUNY on Monday October 29th. i drove down from Boston and spent the night in the Courtyard Marriott. it is on Broadway and 40th street which is really close to the school. It was a nice hotel and a decent price so i recommend checking it out.
