Here is the deal. I am a MS-2 that is taking path, pharm and micro right now. Our pathology class doesn't really test us too much on stuff that I cannot get from Baby Robbins, but I continue to use and learn big Robbins.

I do this because I was told if you know big Robbins very well then you will do very well on Step 1. I really feel like I am studying for step one right now and it justifies the time that I am spending in big Robbins.

What are your thoughts on the knowledge of big Robbins and Step 1 performance?

Personally, I don't think you NEED to read big robins to know your stuff well. I have been going through Goljan's pathology along w/ my classes and I think that is helping me to not only KNOW the stuff and probably REMEMBER it when I review it for boards. I'm not sure how useful all that time spent on Robbins is, but maybe someone who has done it can help more.
