hi guys,

i'm sure if i search hard enough i'll find the info, but i figured i'd post it here...
anyone know the % breakdown of questions on Step 1 by topic? Biochem, Micro, Biostats, etc?

If you could post where I can find that info, that would be greatly appreciated!

you are not going to find the information because each test (and by each test, i mean each individual's test) is different. some will have a ton of phys, others will focus more on path, biochem, whatever.

that being said, certain topics are more high yield than others (path, phys, pharm) and certain organ systems (cardio, pulm, renal, gi, neuro) are tested more frequently.

i am so glad that step 1 is done... 👍

thats not a constant though. I had a good amount of Micro and Immuno on my exam and hardly any pharm (thx g-d!)

I didn't have much neuro or anatomy, but a friend who took the exam on the same day as me said he had a good amount of anatomy and harly any micro. GO figure.

so its good to cover all your bases. (Except embryo)
