Just wondering if anyone is currently in a PhD program and thinking of applying to med school, or is in med school after having completed a PhD program.

I'm a 1st year PhD student and am considering applying during my last year. Have any advice on how to handle it while completing the PhD?

You're giving up the opportunity to have your PhD and your MD paid for by not doing them together, aren't you? MSTP programs are usually fully subsidized.

If your heart is in Medicine, ditch the PhD program and stop wasting your time, especially because your in first year!
