Hi, I was just starting to study for step 1..i'll be taking it about 9 months.

So far, I was planning on mastering these resources, can you tell me if I need to add or replace of those resources with something else?

-First Aid Organ systems 2009
-Rapid Review Pathology by goljan
-doing uworld questions
-practice nbme exams

Thanks

Go over to the Step 1 forum, things like this are talked about all the time.

Your plan sounds good for now, but replace FA Organ Systems with just the regular Step 1 FA.

Here are the list of resources in order of importance, in my opinion: FA (NOT THE ORGAN SYSTEMS ONE), UWORLD, RR Path by Goljan. Save the NBME's until closer to your test time (when you start your dedicated study for the exam). Other books can be used as supplements, but nail these three resources I mentioned and you will for sure nail the boards.

My recommendation is read FA and Goljan along with your coursework. And maybe throw in a few UWorld questions. I also bought USMLE RX, which helps reinforce FA (it's another question bank), and I did those throughout the year.
