Does anyone know how the mean and SD are determined for the exam?

i.e., if the exam is scored based on yearly performance averages or if it is scored based on performances on your particular exam?

Thanks

What difference does it make? You don't get to control which form that you will get so why worry or think about something you can't control?

Ironically, I should ask you the same question. The OP will be concerned regardless of your crass comments and "advice." 😴

To the OP, the average and SD for the exam changes throughout the year, as more and more people take the exam. Basically, program directors don't care about the average/SD and tend to just look at the 3-digit score. If you take the exam during the 2005 cycle, I would suspect the average and SD to be similar to last year's final reporting, which was, if I recall, 217 and 21, respectively. And good luck!
