Hey!

Just took NBME assessement 4 and got a 256 (700). I've been doing UWorld and read Step 2 Secrets. My test is on August 7th, 2010. Should I keep studying or move the test date? Is the NBME a good predictor of the actual score? What would you recommend?

I think you should schedule for today even! Why should you postpone it? NBME are good predictor of the actual exam, according to many threads I have read. I am not sure though if it is enough to take NBME form 4 only, or you should do form 2 as well. I will leave this to the seniors in this forum.

I have a question for you please, have you used any other materials besides step 2 secrets and UW, and how long have you been studying for?

By the way, which secrets edition you used, 2004 (green) or 2010 (blue) or they are the same?

I've been using the 2010 edition. And that's the thing, I've only read the Secrets once and have been doing UWorld for no more than a week. Maybe it helps that my last clerkship was Internal Medicine and I took the shelf 2 weeks ago. Guess I'll study for one more week take the NBME 2 and depending on that move the test.
