STEP 2 CK date changes

so today they announced that they recommend anyone who wants to get scores before September 14th, 2015 should take the test before July 10..........so I had already signed up for step 2 CK on July 14- I thought that this would give me at least 8 weeks to get my scores back, but now I am a little afraid.

Have any of you (or any of your friends) taken the test after their recommended date and gotten the score still on time? At this point I can't even change my date so I feel like I am screwed

I had wanted to get my score in time for ERAS because I got a step 1 score of 227 (I am in a US med school, trying to get into IM) so I wanted to show an improvement in my scores, but now i feel like with the chance of my score coming late my app may be overlooked by many people

What do you think?

I think you'll be ok, your grade will be available just in time for ERAS. Also most programs won't be looking into apps right away, they'll wait a few days or weeks before starting to look into apps.

They did this in 2015 (might do this every year?) and everyone who took the test after July 10 (excluding people who took it <3 weeks before 9/16) got their score on Sept 16, the day after ERAS opened. No one died. You don't need to submit at Minute 1 or even Day 1.

This year, the Wednesday is 9/14, the day BEFORE ERAS opens. AKA if you take it on July 14, your score will be uploaded on September 14 and will be available when ERAS opens for submission.
