Hello there
Hope every one is doing well. I am a img . Below is my profile .
step 1st attempt -213
step 2 ck - 1st attempt 206 (fail )
I have 5 elective rotations in Pediatrics
I am currently doing my 2nd rotation .
I wish to apply for Pediatrics . I recently got my result recently for ck . I am confused whether to continue mle or wind things up . Would highly appreciate suggestions and feedback regarding matching with attempts in steps for IMG . If any one with attempts in steps has applied for match or is planning to apply for match please feel free to share your experience . Thank you all

It is not the end of the world, but it won't be easy with low scores and attempts for an IMG. Many people have matched with attempts by proving they have more to offer with a strong CV and connections. Being an IMG, the elective rotations should really give an edge to your application. I have seen people with USCE, but generic LORs. Make sure you have great ones.

Having said that, there are so many great applicants out there. Programs don't have time to look at all of them, and apply scores and attempts filters, especially for IMG applicants. So, it can be difficult to get invites. It looks like you're yet to give CS. Make sure you pass it the first time. Keep building up your CV and make connections and network with people from those electives so that they can provide you an initial bypass to getting invited to interviews. After that, its up to you to prove to them that you're worthy of a spot over another candidate with stellar scores.
