i am taking step 2 ck in late november. if i do well, will it help me for match? im applying in peds and my step 1 is 223. thanks!

not sure how much itll help you seeing as you might get your score after you had some interviews. i guess if you have interviews in january you can mention your score at the interview. but you arent going to get interviews based on the step2 score, its too late for that.

if you have time off just to study id say 4 weeks is plenty. again i think late october would be better just because you'd be able to mention them on your interviews but at that point getting a score back in late november i don't think the score will help you GET the interview itll make your case stronger once you have the interview.

It's generally wiser for IMG's to have their Step 2's completed for their application. If he were an IMG, November wouldn't be a good time to take the Step 2 for this match. Even October would be pushing it pretty late.

also if he's an IMG a 99 is roughly equivalent to a AMG's 90
