Step II step 2 for IMG

I have some questions about step 2 regarding IMG :

1- do I have to take step 2 CK/CS for an elective ?

2- do I have to take step 2 CK/CS to enter the matching ?

3- about the CS, are 2 weeks enough to prepare for it ??

I am not IMG but will answer with my best. 1. elective/selective are only for current medical students (especially US Students), not sure about foreign students. So I don't know the answer for this one. 2. Yes, you have to. 3. 2 wks are good enough for US students. Depend on your English proficiency and your clinical skills, 2 wks may be all you need or may be not.

You don't need step 2 for electives, some places require step 1...
