Step 2...Of Real Importance or Just a Formality..?

..sorry to ask this, but I seem to be getting mixed answers on this one...seems to differ based on people who did well on Step I vs. those who did not perform as well...any input ? Thanks !

Step1>step2>step3

why? i don't KNOW, but my best guess is all will have step1 scores for residency app's. from what i've heard from my administrator, step2 can help people who did not do as well on step1 as they would have liked. BUT, all things being equal, a person who also did well on step1 is the better 'standardized' candidate. Step3 is done during residency (usu. first year) and all they want you to do is PASS.
