Currently a 3rd year student.
Making some plans regarding Step 2. (Still not entirely sure about career plans. I DO know that I want to go into something highly competitive)
Now from what I understand, there are 2 portions to Step 2: CS and CK.
CS is in a pass/fail format while CK provides a numerical score much like Step 1.
My plan was to take the CS right after 3rd year because:
1) it's pass/fail
2) I have my medicine rotation last so I'll have all the components of performing an H&P down pat.
My plan was to take the CK at the beginning of December because
1) I did very well on my Step 1
2) I'm planning on (sadly 😳) using Thanksgiving to study and I've already scheduled a light rotation during the month of November.
3) Our school has a mandatory deadline of taking CK by 1/1/09.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Plans for improvement? Corrections? Cautions? Worries?
