Step 2 required for match?

I haven't taken step 2 yet and I was wondering if there is a consensus on whether programs want the step 2 score before they rank candidates. I know UVa requires a step 2 score before mid Feb. Any other program has a requirement or strong perference?

I think it's pretty rare for a program to require step II. Requirements are usually posted pretty clearly on the program's website.

along that note, do you think it's best to have an unreported step 2 score, or have a bad one (I made 204, but 220 on step 1) I am afraid that they will look down on my drop, so still haven't reported it. But I don't know if I should wait until after they rank me, or just do before that so they at least don't have doubts that I passed it.

What would yall do?
