Hi all,
So I am currently setting up my 4th year schedule and am trying to figure out how much time to use to study for step 2CK. I will be ending my 3rd year rotation on peds and then have 3 weeks of ambulatory med, and then I was thinking of taking 3 weeks to study.
I only got a 219 on Step 1 and would love to get around a 250 to give myself a bit of a cushion when applying to residency. I have been doing ok on my shelf exams (around 80) but am not sure if they correlate that well to step 2 scores; the only ones I didn't do well on were surgery (my first shelf- 70) and psych (weirdly bad-72). I have been doing Uworld throughout the year and at this point my average is 65% with just peds left to do. So yea, I was wondering if you guys think 3 weeks will be enough time to get my score up by so much or if I should take 4-5 weeks. If it matters at all- I took 5.5 weeks to study for step one and started out the study period with 35% scores on uworld. Additionally, do you guys think it would be worthwhile to start reviewing some of my IM notes/step up to medicine while I am in peds, or just wait until I get to that ambulatory period?
