Step 2, when are you taking it?

How late are ya'll taking Step 2? If I'm not ready now and postpone till Jan, will programs look down on this? Will they rank you w/o your Step 2 score?

I took mine on Jan. 30th last year and that was only b/c my med school required us to take it by Jan. 31 and I wanted an extra day for scheduling in case there was a problem. I know lots of people who took it in March and April. If you have crap Step 1 scores you should take it earlier, otherwise, nobody will care.
