I know this topic probably already exists, but i thought i would bump it up with a post. I am taking the test in 3 weeks. I already bought q bank for 1 month and have crush. Should I get usmle world as well? Do you think doing questions is enough or should i do more reading other than crush?

I'm taking them so late, residency programs won't see my score till after ranking is done so i just want to ensure passing!

I studied for exactly 3 weeks and used primarily USMLEWorld. I used kaplan for about 2 days before switching to usmleworld. VERY glad i did. I don't mind tellingyou my scores if you're curious, but i hate posting stuff like that so you can always IM. I was very pleased.

Overall, the UW q's are more difficult and often times asking you to split hairs. However, about 25% of the questions were marked with "**s" at the bottom with something like "this is very high yield...know this principle..etc" Of these q's, I'd say that at least 9 out of 10 were on my test and were presented in exactly the same way. This coincidence was very helpful obviously.

To answer you biggest question, I think doing just the UW q's would be fine. I also had Current's with me or I would look stuff up on UpToDate when i read something in the answer explainations didn't click. You'd be amazed how much extra info you'll pick in the periphery when reading just a few extra tidbits
