Step 2CK for dermatology

Hello everyone!!

So I am quite confused when to take my Step 2CK. I scored 250+ on Step 1, strong pre-clinical, and good clinical grades. I have good amount of research in derm with papers/abstracts.

I hear some say its fine to take step 2 in Jan/Feb after interviews others say that some schools want to see it before the rank.

Any suggestions and which schools care to see Step 2 before they rank?

UCSF, cleveland clinic, johns hopkins (I heard), not sure of others.

i took mine in dec and did crappy (comp to step 1) because i didnt have the time to study. if you had medicine in the last semester, i'd take it asap and get it out of the way. you will crush it if you took med within the last month.
