Step 2CS...type or write notes?

This may have been discussed before, but for all of you CS experts out there can you give a heads up on what you did during your test day. For example, If you hand wrote was your hand cramped up by patient#3 and if you typed, did you have enough space to write everything you wanted.....Just wondering because I'm flip-flopping on what I'm going to do.

I think typing is the better option unless your handwriting is beautiful and you are a very slow typist.

I typed and never ran out of room in the history section. For the physical findings, you will need to use some abbreviations, particularly if you do a full neuro exam. I imagine you don't write out "clear to auscultation bilaterally" or "Head/Eyes/Ears/Nose/Throat" very often anyway.

I wrote all my notes and didn't really have any trouble with my hand getting tired. My handwriting is somewhat sloppy but legible. I never once looked at the "approved abbreviations" list, and I was fine. Just don't use anything that someone at your school made up, and it'll be ok. Never had trouble fitting everything in. Never more than three things on my differential, and rarely more than 3-4 tests to order.

i type way faster and more legibly than i write, and was able to finish my CS notes with enough time to fully proofread and relax a bit.
