I'm a DO student who took the step 1 last yr and just failed it. I probably wasn't ready to take it when i did, but that aside, Can i take the step 2 exam w/o passing Step 1 (since it isn't a requirement for us).... PLZ help!!!!

Yes, you can take Step 2 USMLE without ever having taken USMLE Step 1. You should know, though, that you must release all USMLE scores to allopathic residences as a DO, if you will be applying allo, which means they'd see your failed Step 1 in addition to the Step 2. You can't select to only send your Step 2 score.
