does your school know when you take step1? does it find out scores the same time you find out? not that it really matters i guess.. just curious..

I know they do find out if you passed (not sure about score) because it showed up on my transcript that I had passed step 1/2 without me sending the school anything.

The school finds out your score the same time you do. Not sure if they know the test date beforehand.

They find out about your score as soon as you do. You may choose to withhold them from your medical school, though. As for the exam date, I do not think they are notified.
