Step2 prep prior to MS3

I'm in my PhD phase at the moment and won't be starting MS3 until January of next year (Australian academic year is the same as the calendar year).

Between now and then, my plan is to read:

Master the Boards Step-2CK

First Aid 2CK 8th edition

USMLE Step-2 SECRETS

I've already started SECRETS (which I read on public trans or while eating breakfast mostly) and MTB, and am looking to finish these before touching FA. If I can manage to get through these three books with a couple/few months to spare toward the end of the year, I'll try and blast through USMLE Rx 2CK before MS3.

Does anyone have any thoughts on initial resources to use, etc.?

i dont know if you take nbme shelf exams, but studying for those is a huge part of step 2 studying. there is also a lot of clinical knowledge/reasoning you pick up during the M3 year that helps you answers questions

Hey Phloston,

I didn't open First Aid for Step 2CK, but I did MTB and Secrets and I still managed to come upon a lot of information in UWorld that wasn't in either of them. However, those two plus UWorld covered most, if not all, that was on my exam. So I guess it depends on when you feel like starting UWorld.
