Strange BUSM email

Hey guys, new to the forums. I just got an email from BU titled BUSM interview followup #2. It gives some details about the release time for letters, tells me to keep my file up to date while considering schools, lets me know about an admissions open house in april...then says, in true rejection letter form:

please accept our congratulations on your accomplishments and our best wishes for all your future endeavors.

This wasn't an official letter, just an update email. what do you guys think? anyone get something similar?

The language in the letters is always like that.. as long as it doesn't say, rejection somewhere then I think you're fine for now.

BU sent me an e-mail today asking me why I decided not to submit a secondary in their survey. I told them it was their selectivity that discouraged me... an enormous number of people with similar to mine numbers were rejected pre-interview in undignified way - e-mail
