I have a little gray female cat that seems to have Issues. She will perch on my clothes that are laid out, but will pee on my BF's clothes that are laid out. I even caught her in the act of peeing on my BF's pants that were laid out. Why would a cat do this?

Sounds like a cat. very strange.

I used to have a roommate that my cats hated. After he'd get mad at them or tell them to leave his room they'd pee on something of his. I thought it was really funny; mostly I didn't like this roommate. The cats always left the other roommate's stuff alone.

<bump>

because I always love the "pet doesn't like my SO" stories. ....

Anyone have any of those stories to share.

Closest I have is an acquaintance visited us and my older dog oddly didn't like her, and barked at her, and MrsSOV refused to have anything to do with that person ever again. Figured the dog knew best.

We had a schipperke growing up that was a wonderful dog. He was a tough little thing (took on 3 chows that had cornered him under a porch and won!), but such a loving dog to people in general. He hated, HATED my aunt Susie. He would be dead asleep on the couch and she would come into the room. He would fall off the couch to walk over and bite her on the leg, jump back on the couch and go back to sleep. Dad said Stanley had a good sense of character judgement cause Susie was a druggie for many years and stole from Grandparents several times.

My cat used to hate men. He would hide and wait for them to pass by and attack / hang on to their leg. He never did any real damage, but it would always make people jump.

If you ever made him mad (female or male) he would stalk you. Fun times.

Just curious (and feel free not to answer if you feel it is none of my business)...
but I am wondering if you yourself are more inclined to the female persuasion?

Haha. I like men 😉 I don't know what my cats problem was. He's over it now (just recently) he's... 5?6? And he stopped around age 3. I'm curious if something happened when he was a kitten and I left him with my dad for a month.

ok. Lots of Italian Greyhounds are afraid of men, but I am pretty sure that is because men tend to be louder, and they are shy dogs generally (of course my older girls is NOT shy, and she LOVES males. Male dogs, male humans. She is a real slut).

They are lovely little predators that we keep in our homes, pretending to have domesticated them when really it is the other way around.

Couch-dwelling allosaurs with fur.

I've noticed that the clinic I work at (near big city, kind of "specialized") has a higher volume of" female only tech/doctor" requests. The first time I saw that note in the file I was confused. I've only seen dog files with this request, haven't seen any cats.

Also I find it funny that when my said cat is being a jerk (batting someone in the head or trying to bite) my dog gets really upset and has occasionally pushed him off the arm of the couch. I live in a madhouse.

My cat literally jumps up walls. She's gotten as high up the wall as ~4 ft from a sitting position to attack a speck or bump. 🙄

My boy does the same. Usually while hugging the door frame. He's a nutcase.

Yes!! They get that wild-eyed look and you know it's about to go down. Mine races across the house and hangs from the back of the couch as part of her routine. We call her spider-kitty.

I have recently discovered that my boy thinks he's a guard cat. He generally has a very pleasant personality, never hisses or growls. Except when someone knocks in the door. Whatever he's doing, he'll stop, trot towards the door, and growl. He's big for a 10 month old cat, but he's not that big...

Hahaha! That's pretty awesome. We had a sign at a clinic I worked at that said "Beware of Attack Cat." Maybe you should have one. 😛

My kitty waits for me by the door but otherwise greets strangers happily. She's the happiest little kitty I've ever met. I think she may think she's a dog though. She sure mimics my Saint Bernard, lol.
