I just got the following e-mail from KCUMB this morning:

"You have been asked to come for an interview on December 5th but you still need the following to complete your application:

Supplemental application
All letters of recommendation"

Well, the strange part is that I've never been contacted regarding the interview - no one from KCUMB called or e-mailed me to contact them for the interview date. I thought that the standard practice was to let the applicant know that he/she would be invited for the interview and let him/her pick the date for the interview. Don't get me wrong - I am happy that I received an interview offer. I am just a little confused.

I got the same type of email, from Des Moines in september. They scheduled me for an interview on September 14th. At that time, I did not even fill out my secondary for DMU. These type of offers are Pre-interview screening, it is actually a good thing!

Good Luck 😀

KCUMB sends an interview packet in snail mail, and they are very professional and organized about it. If you didn't receive that, you should call them and inquire about the situation.

KCUMB assigns you an interview day to begin with (some schools let you pick from a list). But if this day doesnt work for you, just call and reshedule it. I did and they're very accomodating. LOVE LOVE LOVE KCUMB.

Has anyone recieved a letter in the mail from KCUMB that says you qualify for an interview but does not exactly offer you one, what does this mean? Why even bother sending me a letter in the mail that says that.
