In need of Advice 😕
1.) So I'm in the second batch but my applications have not been completed because the schools are waiting on my letters of evaluation... If I get them in by next week would that be too late (my supplementaries are all done)?
2.) I know everyone is sick of people posting their stats on here, but I'm in need of positive reinforcement (hopefully). I'm asking for the advice of my fellow pre-dents, If it were you would you retake your DAT if your stats were 3.7 GPA 3.6 SCI DAT 19/19/15 --> (my PAT sucks) I applied to ASDOH, Midwestern (Arizona), Creighton, LECOM, NOVA, USC, Western, NYU, Buffalo, Baylor, UT Houston, UTSCA, and Temple --> not sure if a lot of these schools care a lot about PAT
I set my new DAT date for August 30th but I haven't been intensely studying so I need to know if I should kick it into gear or not.

PLEASE FELLOW PRE-DENTS HELP ME OUT!

You're sort of in the middle of the cycle, so if everything's done in a week, you're still okay.

You REALLY should kick your DAT studying into gear because I don't know of any schools that would accept a PAT of 15. Your files should probably be complete in 10 days I'm guessing? That'll take you to August and hopefully you haven't been rejected by then. Fax over your unofficial DAT report ASAP, the day of, if possible and hopefully they'll take the new set of scores into consideration. Your DAT is the only thing that will not make the cut.

Obviously your GPA is right where it needs to be, but I would personally find a 15 PAT combined with a 19 AA to be a little unsettling.

If I were in your shoes, I would buckle down and do some serious work all the way up until August 30th. The only thing that is likely hold you back right now is the DAT score (according to the information you provided), and you have a great opportunity to make significant gains if you put your mind to it.

You probably want to take a look at Doc Toothache's post about the "Section Rankings" for the various parts of the DAT at various schools. Some schools value the PAT, while others not as much. But for the most part, an August 30th test date isn't TOO late, given that these schools accept the unofficial score report. I think you have a shot of landing some interviews if they look past your PAT score and onto your extra curriculars and other qualifications. Don't worry, I'm in the same boat as you :/
