I am a Bio Major, however my freshman year the intro courses I bombed 🙁
I am reading through KBB and doing well on it, however still I only am getting 15's on Crack DAT Bio.
Its Crack DAT bio supposed to be harder easier on par with the DAT?
And what else can I use to make up for this. Im supposed to be taking my DAT in 2 months and really starting to get nervous because of classes too.

Get cliff's AP Biology. Read it over and over. Some sections in the book aren't covered on the DAT but the sections that are covered, this book does a really good job of preparing for the bio section.

Good luck!

I actually bought that, going to use it after I finish kaplan. Has anyone ever used crack bio software? Can anyone tell me if its a good indicator of where I would score?

I heard the Crack sciences aren't the best prep. They were initially said to have lots of mistakes, but I believe that has changed now. I personally didn't use them because people it was really quite expensive for what was offered (I chose Achiever and Top Score and Kaplan Test Bank Instead). Honestly bio questions won't help you prepare much since they are so f***ing random. Just make sure to study from the right books (Cliff's, KBB and Schaum's) Schaum's is not recommended though since it has WAY more detail than you need. If even after Cliff's you feel unprepared Schaum's is you best bet.

Sounds good, thanks for the reply. Im hoping after cliffs ill be done lol. If not schaums would push me back a lot.
Alot for gen chem, are chads videos free or cost money?

Chad's videos cost money, but are very reasonable...I think 20-30$ a month or a 3 month for 70 deal. Best money you will spend on the test.

If you feel like you want more after cliffs bio, I would recommend Barron's before schaums. Similar material to cliffs, just presented slightly differently and I felt all the test questions in Barron's were better than Cliffs. Exposing yourself to the same material from different angles is valuable in my opinion and Barrons is a much quicker way to do that than Schaums.

Also, don't forget about the bio in DAT destroyer...they are decent questions with good explanations. DAT Q vault is also a great prep that you may consider.

I used all of these sources for bio questions and it paid off. I was most worried about bio as I did poorly in all of my practice tests for it, but I exposed myself to so many different materials and questions that I had seen almost everything on the real test before that day.

A lot of people REALLY love Chad's videos. I personally didn't use them since my sciences are pretty strong. Also people say Chad's quizzes have very good practice questions. In general, sciences are tough because they are somewhat inaccessible to people, but Chad is apparently a really good teacher and most people can follow his lectures.

I personally knew I just needed practice stuff for Chemistry so I just worked on Destroyer, Kaplan Test Bank, Achiever and Top Score (Around 20 practice tests worth of questions) and I was pretty good going into the test. Actually even now I am a little surprised that I did poorly in O-chem, but I'm not going to complain about that when the rest of the test went well.

So there you have it once again. If you want help to master the material and get some good practice, Chad's vids will do well for you. If you just want to practice to make sure you can use what you already know, then Destroyer, Achiever etc. will do much better for you.

Thanks everyone, are the chad videos long? Whats the format for them.
http://www.***********.com/videos.php
is that the right link for chads?
And im assuming that crack dat bio isnt that good of a tool considering nobody has used it lol.

Typical video is 15-30 minutes, some longer a few shorter. There is a fastplay option that increases the speed slightly to get you through the videos faster. There should be sample videos available for both GC and OC so you can check the format out before you buy. But honestly, I don't think you will find a more efficient way to learn, he teaches to the test.

To put it into perspective, I never took O-Chem 2, still don't understand any mechanisms from O-chem 2, but Chad taught more than enough from his videos+quizes that I was able to get through destroyer (it was a foreign language for me before chads videos) and O-Chem ended up being my highest section at 27.

Haha nice, il definately have to use it for gen chem then. I dont really remember all of it b/c I never really went to class and bombed it freshman year 🙁. I basically hired a tutor also just for that section and RC. I feel like I could have aced gen chem easily but I just never had the chance to learn it. Actually upset about that now.

And orgo I ta'd both orgo 1 and 2 so I am really good with that stuff. Did you try DAT destroyer? How many questions would you say you get right or wrong out of like 50?

The 1st time through DAT Destroyer Organic (after watching Chads vids once and not having OC II), I got maybe 50% right. I re-watched Chads vids, went through it again, got 95% right. Went through all the questions (about 250 if I remember right) a couple days before the test and only got 1 or 2 wrong. Of course it was a combination of practice and remembering the answers, but it worked. The real deal seemed ridiculously easy after mastering destroyer.

I never went to the trouble of mastering gen chem destroyer (I only went through it one time and got probably 75-80% right) because I thought I was good at it, ended up being my lowest section on the whole test (20).

If you master destroyer for both, you will kill the real DAT.
