Who are they? 🙂 If someone wants honest perspectives of the school, are student ambassadors the best people to talk to? Would they be willing to share more about the school's negative aspects if they are representing the school?

I've been one of the students talking to interviewees in the past, and since I felt that it was my duty to only answer the student's questions and shine light on the school, I often held back on negative perspectives. 🙄 But I wouldn't tell them how safe the neighborhood was, if it wasn't true. What are your thoughts about the roles of student ambassadors? And how much can they help us in our admissions process? I'm sure they are very helpful and kind people, but in our situations to try to understand and learn more about the schools we are interested in...😉

I think for the most part that Ambassadors are a good source of info, but you should try to talk to more than just one student, Ambassador or not. Most people will be pretty straight up with you about the strengths and weaknesses that each school has, but each person has individual preferences too. If the Ambassador says "What will it take for me to get you into this car...errr, school?" you might want to get another opinion.

Good to know, thank you, everyone! 🙂
