Hey guys, I stumbled across a cool website earlier today that I wanted to share with all of you. I know that right now, a lot of us pre-dents don't have student loans yet. But we'll be taking them out soon, and we'll have to manage them.
I've been looking at reviews about www.tuition.io for a little while today, and it seems like a pretty neat site. It's somewhat new, so it is still in "beta" mode, but it looks like it can be pretty useful. The site is free to use and allows you to track all of your student loans (both private and government) in one place. I think it has "simulator" tools that show you what your loans would look like if you increased your monthly payments, refinanced, etc.
It's essentially like creditkarma (if you don't have an account, get one!), but for just student loans.
And a really cool feature of the site? It has a gift-giving function. Since I'd bet many of us will get married during school or soon after, this would really be a cool registry to have. (It could also be used for graduation presents if people ask what you'd like to have.) Most of us will have been living in apartments for a few years before getting married, anyhow, so I bet we'll have racked up on toasters, kitchen wares, sheets, etc. Here is a link to the gift-giving part of the site: https://www.tuition.io/gifts
Thoughts? I just thought it could be a very useful tool.
