Just a question regarding the student reported gpa... do you guys know if schools do their "sorting" by the student reported gpa or by the gpas listed on the supplemental applications? I've just been thinking about this because my more specific gpas (science, last 45 units, cumulative, etc, etc) are much higher. Since the student reported one is just supposed to be from your primary college.. I'm worried my app doesn't look as strong when just looking at the vmcas app.. I guess I can't change anything about it, but just curious about their methods

I know at least some schools calculate their own GPAs. For example my reported GPAs include A+ (4.3 GPA) grades even though vet schools don't take that. So they will have to calculate it to put me on even ground with those who don't get that GPA boost for A+s. In addition if a school looks at a pre-req GPA or sci GPA they would have to do it themselves, you can generally find out if a school uses one of those GPAs by looking at their admissions web page.
