study for CS AND Step 2 CK together?

anyone study for BOTH Step 2 CK and the CS at the same time? or is it better to study and take the CS, and then focus on the Step 2 CK after? im going to try and post-match 2006. im studying for both my CS and Step 2 CK right now. i was thinking of taking my CS in a couple weeks, but might postpone until i've done some more Step 2 CK review (anyone else feel like the CK review might help for the CS?). i read somewhere that to make the match for '06 CS i should be done by dec 31st. i feel like studying BOTH and trying to find a CS spot 1st or 2nd week of Dec, and then reviewing only Step 2 CK material and taking it 1st week of Feb.

There's NO common ground. CS covers very basic "medicine" - the sort of things that are way too simple for CK.

How to study for CS: Buy first aid for CS. Read it once or twice, learn the differentials and tests to order for them. Practice the physical exam a few times and do a few practice soap notes to make sure you can do them in the time allowed. Don't forget to wash your hands.

How to study for CK:Get as many practice tests as you can and study them untill you are thoroughly nauseated.

Absolutely the same situation here. Got CS scheduled for Dec 20th, CK for Dec 28th. Also hoping for postmatch. I know grades for both CS and CK should be reported by match late application deadline Feb. 22nd. My experience with step 1 was strictly 3 weeks for the results to come in the mail. I might reschedule CK for 2nd week of Jan, but definetely not CS as I also heard it should be taken before Dec 31st otherwise they wouldn't bother to hurry with grade reporting for 06.
