Study for MCAT or Shadow

My MCAT is Aug 23rd....I was wondering if I should continue to shadow or just focus on the mcat?

only you know how ready you are. No one else can tell you.

If you feel ready then keep your normal activities going (i.e. keep shadowing). If you feel strained for time or unprepared in any way I would prioritize the MCAT and put a pause on the shadowing.

I passed on an opportunity to shadow a surgeon before my MCAT. Glad I did, as I had just enough time to feel prepared.

I would put in more time with MCAT prep. No one looked back on medical school admissions saying if only I had shadowed a few more hours. However, I guarantee there are people out there wishing their MCAT score was 1-3 points higher. Practice, practice, comprehensive exam review, practice. Good luck!

I'd focus on the MCAT. You don't need much shadowing and it sounds like you've already done some. There will also be plenty of time to shadow later on. Whereas this is your last month of MCAT studying.
