This is a question for residents in internal medicine. Can anyone please recommend a book to help me study between now and July for when I start my internal medicine internship. Not a reference book like Harrisons but a easier to read book that covers all the basics an intern should know. Does anyone have any opinions on the Internal medicine board review by First aid? Please help :scared:....I do not have another internal medicine rotation before residency and I want to keep things fresh in my mind.

Amazon, Barnes and Nobles, any medical bookstore. Have you ever purchased a medical text before anywhere??

Good luck!

I did not know if you could get it online for free. FIRST OF ALL, there is no need to be rude! Haven't you ever heard the phrase, "if you dont have anything nice to say....dont say anything at all." You might be in the wrong profession with your kind of attitude. 🙄

If I misunderstood you, I apologize. But you didn't ask in the initial post for a free download, therefore the misunderstanding.

The Wash Manual is the basic "cookbook" for Medicine.

Again, good luck!

Has anyone heard of or read "The Consult Manual of Internal Medicine?" by HArry Rosen. How is it compared to Washington Manual?

Thanks

The Consult Manual of Internal Medicine?" by HArry Rosen

excellent excellent text. you won't find better explainations and medical reasoning that this book. A bit heavy to carry in lab coat, I would use this + pocket medicine.

Would you recommend this book or Wash manual as in intern in IM? Why do you recommend this book over the other?

Thanks in advance
