I have all of Kaplan's materials. I will mainly use that, but from what I've read here, it seems I would benefit from at least getting EK for verbal and bio. Is that the consensus? If so, which books? 1001 EK for verbal, and just the EK review notes for bio?

Lastly, for those who used Kaplan: did you go through the lesson book, the foundation review, and the review notes? It seems like a lot of redundancy (which I know can be good for some to learn). Thoughts?

Thanks

I used EK's materials while taking Kaplan's classroom course. Beyond the practice material, Kaplan didn't help at all. I ended using EK to learn all of the necessary material. Yes, I did everything Kaplan required and more for the higher score guarantee (i.e. I read all the stuff they told us to). None of Kaplan's books clicked with me. You may be different. Anyway, regardless of study books, definitely pick up EK's 101 Verbal and 1001 Bio book. Those two were incredibly helpful.

1) Should I get EK Biology or EK 1001 Biology? Why is one better than the other?

2) For VR material from EK, I only see the VR and Math book. I don't see the 101 book?!? And is the latter better than the former?

1. EK bio is just bio review...there are a couple of 30 min exams thrown in there, but not that many practice question. EK bio 101 is just 101 passages...So, it depends on whether you want review or practice or both.
2. I think the EK VR/math book was pretty much useless, some may disagree. EK 101 is the book everyone recommends, so you should get that for sure.

What do folks think of the EK bio review book compared to the Kaplan bio review book? Would I be just as well off using the Kaplan review book in addition to the EK 1001 bio book?

Thanks again!
